It is hard to describe the joy of working with the Lord's church here at Bear Valley. We moved here in July, 2006, after nearly twelve years working with the Cold Harbor Road church of Christ in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Kathy and I met while both students at Faulkner University. May 22, 1992, Johnny Carson's last night on the Tonight Show, was also the day God blessed me with the joy of marrying Kathy. Our first and only other full-time work was with the Livingston church of Christ in Alabama. Neal is the creator and main writer for a daily e-mail devotion entitled "Daily Bread" (these appear at http://preacherpollard.wordpress.com/).
The Lord has blessed us with three wonderful sons. Gary was born in 1993, Dale in 1996, and Carl in 1998. They love Colorado, this congregation, and especially our great youth group. Gary's interests include playing guitar and piano, hunting, and video games. Dale loves drawing, animals, and basketball. Carl is into paper airplanes, line rider, and cooking. The two younger boys have played organized basketball and all three love tennis, thanks to Johnson Kell. Gary and Dale have also participated in Singing Youth of Denver. Kathy enjoys cooking, tennis, reading, all things "tea," hiking, entertaining, and piano. Running, hiking, sports, hunting, reading, and history are among my many interests. All five of us have been overseas doing mission work and that is a Pollard passion!

) often speaks to women at Ladies Days, lectureships, and workshops. She and Teri Autrey direct Higher Ground girls camp in August. God has blessed me with the opportunity to preach, lecture, and conduct seminars across our great brotherhood. I had my first book, Rise Up And Build, published in 2007. It is my joy to direct Future Preachers Training Camp each summer and the Bear Valley Lectures in the fall. Kathy teaches a class in the women's program and I am an adjunct instructor in the school. But our great passion is local work and working with the best people in the world. The Bear Valley congregation believes in supporting faithful gospel preaching and so do we! We enjoy the great examples of faithfulness and involvement we see in our senior saints, the wealth of knowledge and ability in members closer to our age, the dedication and studiousness of our young adults, and the smart, well-rounded, successful, and spiritual young people that make up this church. We have never worked with a better eldership or more talented group of deacons.
It is a blessing to work with this growing, godly congregation.
